Whitney Houston Dead

Whitney Houston has died at the young age of 48 and was found at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA. The talented singer sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos during her career.  The cause and location of death have not been reported as of yet.  Houston was set to appear in the remake of the 1976 hit film, "Sparkle."  

It would have been Houston's return to the silver screen after her last role in the 1996 film, The Preacher's Wife."  Her soundtrack to the 1992 film "The Bodyguard" was put by Billboard as one of the top 10 biggest-selling albums of all time.   Whitney Houston had seven straight Billboard No. 1 hits in the 1980s.  Her hit tracks included, "Saving All My Love for You," and "Greatest Love of All."

From the mid 1980's to the 1990s Houston was regarding as one of the world's best selling artists.   She mesmerized audiences with her strong vocals that were inspired by the black church, but resonated with masses because of the pop sheen she added to it. 
 

Unfortunately the pop music queen also made headlines due to her drug use, erratic behavior, and rocky relationship with Bobby Brown.   However, she will never be forgotten for her majestic voice that led her to be one of the worlds's best selling artists.  Whitney Houston was an icon, whose tracks will be played and heard by generations to come.

She died at the eve of the Grammy awards, an event that showcased and recognized the singer for her extraordinary talent over the past several years.  She will be remembered for her contribution to the music industry, and the entertainment she brought to the world through her talented vocals.   She will be missed and always remembered for her powerful voice!
